Offered here is Abolqasem Ferdowsi’s ‘Shahnameh- The Persian Book of Kings’, as translated by Dick Davis. This hardback edition was published by Viking in 2006; 39 pages of prefatory matter are followed by 886 pages of text. It also contains a foreword by Azar Nafisi, some illustrations, and a glossary of names. The book is approximately 6.5 inches wide, 9.5 inches tall, and 2.1 inches thick. ISBN: 0670034851.
The book is in very good condition. The dustjacket is slight frayed around the edges. Boards are slightly bent around the edges. Page edges have some minor scuff marks. Internally the book is in near-perfect condition, with no tears or markings and only the tiniest of corner bends to the last few pages.
