Description

Presented here is the much sought-after solid state radio back in the day: Binatone Countess. It was a product of the Binatone Electronics Company which was a British import and distribution company established in 1958 by two brothers, Gulu and Partap Lalvani who named the company after their sister Bina. They started by importing transistor radios from Japan and went through various changes, finally parting ways and continuing to establish two independent companies. However, Binatone exists till date and produces a vast range of products including mobile phones, cordless landline phones, baby monitors, tablets, GPS, etc.

The Binatone Countess is a rectangular brown/black and white solid state radio cassette recorder with automatic control levels. It has a prominent red stop button, with silver dial and plastic body. It has a convenient size which makes it easily portable. This model is a rare one, probably introduced back in 1970s. The present item is in exceptional state, with no damage or scratch to the body.

It is a rare find, hence, a must have for all those looking forward to bringing back the 70s nostalgia back in their lives.
