Description

Originally, the Bolex International S.A. was a Swiss manufacturer of movie cameras including 16 mm and Super 16 mm movie cameras. Charles Haccius and Jacques Bogopolsky registered the trade mark ‘Bolex’, the name derived from Bogopolsky in 1925. They introduced the Bolex Auto Cine A camera in 1927 and later, they collaborated with Paillard & Company to formulate the ‘Bolex-Paillard’ which is now known as Bolex International.

On offer is the standard 8 mm Bolex 150 super movie camera, which was first introduced in 1966 and continued till 1969. It was a camera singularly known for its unique look. It featured aerial focusing, auto-zoom and auto-exposure. It was quite a user friendly camera and was widely used among the masses to capture their special moments.

The body is made of black and silver modern plastic. The camera is present in a good condition overall, with slight scratches on the body, but the lens is intact. It is a classic choice holding a great collector’s value.
