Description
Karl Vockenhuber established the Austrian Company Eumig in 1919, initially producing small radios and miscellaneous electrical components. The company produced its first radio in 1931 and thereby continued manufacturing both projectors and movie camera. It produced the world’s first home movie projector in 1954. Finally becoming the only European company with a comprehensive super-8 film range equipment after the introduction of super-8 films in 1965.
On offer here is the Eumig Mark 605 D projector which was a silent movie projector for all 8 mm film formats including single-8, super-8 and standard-8. It was first introduced in 1976 and was comparatively an advance machine back in its time due to its capacity for both slow motion playback and reverse playback. It was a very popular projector back in its day despite its relatively high price. It had auto threading and both forward and backward projection with 3 speeds (6, 9, 18 fps).
The projector has an off-white and black body. It is present in an exceptional condition with no damage to the body or lens. There are no marks or scratches visible on the body and the company logo and model are clearly visible on the front panel.
