Eumig, the Austrian company was founded by Karl Vockenhuber in 1919 and initially produced miscellaneous electrical materials and small radios mainly. It manufactured the first projector in 1931 and continued its progress in making movie cameras and projectors. In the post-war era, Eumig sustained and kept on developing new lines of equipment and in 1954 it produced the world’s first home movie projector Eumig P8. In 1965, after the introduction of the Super-8 film, Eumig manufactured ‘Mark M Super-8’ projector which had the feature of arrest projection and threader. Hence, making Eumig the only European company with a comprehensive Super-8 film range equipment. It had the standard super 8 mm film with a reel capacity of 120 m and forward and reverse projection with automatic threading for film loading. With a robotic outlook and a sturdy metal body, it is a perfect fit for a décor of a studio or the room of an enthusiast who likes vintage projectors.
