FUJI ENLARGER (SCA 063)
- Made in Japan
- Condition (In our opinion): 8/10
- Item Code: SCA 063
Established in 1934, Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd. was the first Japanese producer of photographic films, going on to produce motion-picture films and X-ray films over the years. In the 1940s, Fuji Photo entered the optical equipment market, and after the Second World War moved towards photographic films, rapidly becoming the largest film manufacturer in Japan. By the 1980s Fuji was the most famous company in the world. In the 1980s, Fuji began its shift towards digital photography, even before its competitors realized what was going on. As a result, Fuji has still managed to retain its position as one of the largest names in the photography business, while many competitors have been edged out.
This photo enlarger is a relic from the days when photographic prints used to be developed from film or glass negatives or from transparencies, and was used to enlarge prints. Fuji phased out the line in the 1980s, but still supports already sold models. The item is in good working condition, with minor scratches and scuffs.
