‘THE HISTORY OF HENRY FIELDING ‘- WILLBUR L. CROSS (BKS 1112)
Reference Code: BKS 1112
Presented here is a lengthy biographical treatment of the 18th century English novelist Henry Fielding. ‘The History of Henry Fielding’, by Wilbur L. Cross, was published in 1918 by Yale University Press as a three-volume set. Well over 1000 pages of text are accompanied by a few dozen illustrations. Each volume is approximately 6.3 inches wide, 9.1 inches tall, and 1.3 inches thick. Pagination is as follows:
Volume 1: xvii+425
Volume 2: 427
Volume 3: 411
The books are in good condition. The boards exhibit some creases and fraying to the corners and spine ends. Gilt titling is bright. Bindings are solid, though the hinges of Volume 1 are a bit weak. Page edges are mostly clean, though some scuff marks are present. Because these are ex-library copies, each volume contains the usual library stickers and stamps, along with gilt library number stamping to the spines. There are a few page bends, otherwise the books are internally in great shape, with no tears, scribbles, or other major defects.
