Kodak needs no introduction when it comes to imaging and photography. Founded in 1888, by George Eastman and Henry A. Strong in United States, the company revolutionized the world of photography and maintains a stronghold in the industry by introducing new technology and engineered products till date.
Another classic addition to our collection of Kodak movie cameras is the Kodak XL-55. It was introduced in 1972, after the introduction of the XL (eXisting Light) concept in the Super 8 movie cameras in 1971. It used the High Speed Ektachrome Super 8 color film, enabling the user to film in minimal available light exposure. Hence, XL 55 allowed the users to shoot movies indoor without using special lights. The shutter open angle of 230 degrees and lens aperture F 1.2 allowed an increased pulldown speed using film intermittent mechanism, enabling one to shoot ‘movies without the movie lights’- just as Kodak introduced its then new addition to their list.
The camera on offer is present in exceptional condition, with no damage to body or lens and no visible marks. It has a silver and black body with brown wooden texture on the back button panel.
With a very unique shape of the camera and rich history in the photography world, the Kodak XL-55 is a must have for camera enthusiasts.
