LEAVES OF GRASS BY WALT WHITMAN (BKS 1013)

Reference Code: BKS 1013

Description

Perhaps the most lavish edition of Walt Whitman’s ‘Leaves of Grass’ ever produced, this is a volume in the series titled “100 Greatest Masterpieces of American Literature”, and was published by The Franklin Library in 1982 under the auspices of The American Revolution Bicentennial Administration. Now out of print, this limited edition was published in a luxurious format: the book is bound with genuine leather, silk endpapers, and ornamented with 22k gold with all page edges gilt. The book contains 512 pages, including several illustrations by Liam Roberts. It is approximately 6.5 inches wide, 9.5 inches tall, and 1.5 inches thick.
The book is in near-perfect condition. There is some minor bumping to the spine and boards, and some small scuff marks to the page edges, but in virtually every respect the book is flawless, both internally and externally.
