Reference Code: BKS 1068
Edited by Martin Frishman and Hasan-Uddin Khan, ‘The Mosque- History, Architectural Development & Regional Diversity’ is a collection of essays by several different scholars discussing numerous aspects of various mosques from Spain to China. The work contains almost 400 illustrations (170 of them in colour), with numerous maps and plans. It was published in 1997 by Thames and Hudson and contains 288 pages. The book is approximately 9 inches wide, 12.1 inches tall, and 1 inch thick. ISBN: 0500341338.
The book is in excellent condition. The dustjacket has some minor fraying to the corners and along the edges, along with some mild discolouration to the edges of the flaps. The boards are bumped at the corners slightly; gilt titling is bright. The binding is solid. Page edges are clean, with only some minor staining to the top edges. Internally the only major flaws are where some scribbles have been blanked out with correction fluid on the front free endpaper, the title page, and the content page. Some pages have tiny bends at the corners, otherwise the text is in near-perfect condition, with no tears, creases, markings, or other major flaws.
