Description

A glance at this vintage classic movie camera will certainly make you look twice. The Meopta Admira 8F is nothing short of ‘admirable’ in looks. Meopta is a Czechoslovakian company that was established in 1933 by Alois Benes and Alois Mazurekas as ‘Optikotechna’ for the purpose of manufacturing condensers and lenses mainly. However, the company expanded its products in the field of optics and started producing various items including cameras, slide projectors, enlargers, binoculars, etc. It manufactures world-class optical, optoelectronic and opto-mechanical products till date.

This specific camera is 8 mm Admira 8F model which was produced from 1960 to 1964. It has a very eye-catching grayish silver body made in cast aluminum, a well-made sprocket feed and polished frames with a chic shape. A rare feature in this camera is the tilting view finder which helps to remove parallax between the lens and the viewfinder. It is available in an excellent condition with no visibly prominent marks of aging or use.
