The large and lavishly illustrated ‘Sacred Spaces- A Journey with the Sufis of the Indus’ was written by Samina Quraeshi, with contributions by Ali S. Asami, Carl W. Ernst, and Kamil Khan Mumtaz. It was published by Peabody Museum Press and Mapin Publishing in 2009 to accompany the exhibition ‘Sacred Spaces: Reflections on a Sufi Path’ held during 2009-2010. Twelve pages of prefatory matter are followed by 280 pages of text (including poetry by Annemarie Schimmel, Shah Abdul Latif, and many others) and hundreds of photographs. The book is in good condition. The dustjacket is absent. Boards are bumped, with small tears and rubbing along the edges and at the corners. The binding is solid. Page edges are largely clean. Internally the book is in near-perfect condition. Some small corner bends exist in the first few pages, but there are no tears, markings, or other major defects.
