Reference Code: BKS 1047

Description

A significant primary source for students of Islamic history, presented here is ‘A Sufi Martyr- The Apologia of ‘Ain al-Qudat al-Hamadhani’, translated with an introduction and notes by A. J. Arberry.
This first edition hardback was published by George Allen and Unwin Limited in 1969 and contains 101 pages. It is approximately 5.7 inches wide, 8.8 inches tall, and 0.6 inches thick.
The book is in good condition. The dustjacket is worn and frayed around the edges, and is stained in places. The binding is solid. The boards have some bent corners. There is some minor wormholing at the rear of the book, beginning with the dustjacket, through the board, and into the last few pages, but this is relegated to the margins and barely noticeable. There is some foxing to the page edges and similarly to some of the internal pages. There is also a small bookseller stamp to the front free endpaper, otherwise the book is very clean, with no tears, page bends, or inscriptions.
