On offer here is ‘Wonderful London- The World’s Greatest City Described by its Best Writers and Pictured by its Finest Photographers’, a three-volume set edited by St. John Adcock. These books contain dozens of articles by various writers (including G. K. Chesterton and J. B. Priestley) on multiple aspects of London’s history, commerce, culture, architecture, monuments, points of interest, and much else. The set consists of a total of 1152 pages, illustrated by more than 1200 original views reproduced in photogravure, including a fold-out map and three tipped-in colour illustrations. It is undated, but was likely published in the early 20th century at The Fleetway House in London. Each volume is approximately 8.7 inches wide, 11 inches tall, and 1.3 inches thick.

The books are in good condition. The boards are rubbed and worn, and there is some fraying to the corners and spine ends. Gilt titling and designs are still bright. The bindings are solid. Page edges exhibit some scuffing and stains. Internally the books are in excellent condition. Apart from some minor sporadic foxing, the text is clean, with no tears, bends, or markings.
