‘ZANZIBAR-ITS HISTORY AND ITS PEOPLE’- W. H. INGRAMS (BKS 1109)

Reference Code: BKS 1109

Description

On offer here is the detailed treatise ‘Zanzibar- Its History and Its People’, by W. H. Ingrams. This rare book was originally published in 1931 by H. F. & G. Witherby and contains 531 pages of text accompanied by more than two dozen illustrations and two maps. The book is approximately 6.1 inches wide, 8.9 inches tall, and 2 inches thick.
The book is in fair condition. The boards show some discolouration in places, along with rubbing to the corners and edges. Gilt titling is faded somewhat, but still bright. The binding is solid. Page edges are foxed and scuffed, with the top gilt edges a bit faded. The edges for several pages are chipped, likely partly due to the uneven printing process. Internally the book is in good shape. There is an owner’s stamp to the front pastedown and the title page, some minor corner bends, and sporadic foxing. But there are no tears, scribbles, or other major defects.
