This is a projector that projects a simple image on the screen; optional background (ie not in 3D). The picture was usually sent on a white wall or furniture.
The projector is plugged in with a regular plug in a wall outlet and the projector directly projected the image. At the top of the projector the reel inserted and one can then shift the image with the lever at the side.
